archive: (n) a collection of historical documents or records providing information about a place, institution, or group of people.
a good, clean fill is a multimedia installation exploring contemporary methods of archiving, in response to the gallery’s title, “The Crane Archive Space Project”. Inspired by the “free stuff” listings on Craigslist, a good, clean fill curates its own comically absurd experience through the clever positioning of found objects, images, and performance. Underneath the surface of this humorous exhibition lies an unsettling truth. a good, clean fill reveals our cultural obsession with both documenting and consuming the banal aspects of our everyday lives.
